Introduction The study group Strength Diagnostics and Movement Analysis (Institute for Sport Science and Sport Informatics, German Sport University Cologne) under the direction of Dr. Heinz Kleinöder found many positive effects of WB-EMS in various studies since 2006. Different programs such as training with different loading and sport-specific movements were intensified with simultaneous EMS and its effects were analysed subsequently. The questions ranged from acute physiological reactions (metabolic and hormonal) to long-term adaptations of strength (maximal force, maximal power, speed strength etc.).
